I’m Joe Windsor-Williams, an award winning professional photographer with a background in celebrity portraits, lifestyle advertising, people & places. I’ve shot for GQ, Conde Nast and Lonely Planet and created commercial campaigns for British Airways, Puma, Rolls Royce, Dorchester Collection and Aston Martin. During my career I’ve been lucky enough to photograph all sorts of people in all sorts of locations. From Hollywood A-listers and sports personalities, to obscure editorial projects in far flung places. I’m now based between St Albans, Hertfordshire and the Gower Peninsular in South Wales but I’m willing to travel almost anywhere with a commission.

My style could best be described as a mix of documentary and editorial with a splash of fine art thrown on top. While I like to take a relaxed approach, concentrating on finding those authentic moments as they happen, working discreetly to create engaging compositions. I like photographs that are not posed or awkward, finding the best angle and light to compliment the situation. I’m also looking to get a unique take on any given scene, observing and creating images with a strong narrative energy. For me, the storytelling is everything and I like to think that this combination of documentary and editorial delivers the perfect results.

On your wedding day, being the centre of attention is hard to avoid and not everyone is comfortable being in front of the camera. I’m experienced at making you feel at ease. You just be you, free to be as romantic, playful or as shy as you wish and I’ll get on with creating beautiful, authentic images documenting your story naturally, capturing the moments that matter.
